Regional Service

Kelston Deaf Education Centre provides hearing aid batteries and repair services to students up until the age of 21 years, who are enrolled in full-time education in the school sector.

Pre-school

The KDEC CIH Team aims to support all school-age students who have, or are receiving, a Cochlear Implant (CI) under the NCIP in order to maximise their auditory potential.

School

Ruāmoko Marae is the only Deaf Marae in the world. It is a place where students can learn their Kaupapa, Marae protocol and Maori culture.

Regional Service

The museum is housed in and around an original 1960 girls’ dormitory. As well as a range of memorabilia of books, records, furniture, photographs, there are educational, technical, communication and medical artefacts.
