HEARING AID BATTERIES

The audiology clinic dispenses hearing aid batteries to children who reside in the Kelston Deaf Education Centre zone. The batteries are free of charge to children up until the age of 21, as long as they are enrolled in full time education in the school sector.

Battery sizes available are 10 (Yellow), 13 (Orange), 312 (Brown) and 675 (Blue).



Procedure for ordering batteries:

When ordering hearing aid batteries for a child, the following information is required:

  • Child’s name, age, address, and phone number
  • Size of batteries required

REPAIR SERVICE

Kelston Deaf Education Centre provides a repair service for hearing aids, hearing aid accessories and FM systems. This service is available for students who reside in the Kelston Deaf Education Centre zone.

Students are able to access this service until the age of 21 while they are enrolled in full time education in the school sector. The service is free of charge.

We recommend hearing aids are packaged well and couriered to Kelston Deaf Education Centre Electronics (mailing address below) to ensure we receive them in the condition they were sent.

Please make sure you include the following details: child’s full name, age, address, contact phone number and a brief note about the hearing aid fault.

This service is available all year around including school holidays, the only exception being the Christmas and New Year two-week closed down period.
